Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) was established in 1999 by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), which is running a large number of educational institutes, besides carrying out large number of religious and social activities. GTBIT is a degree level technical institute, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. This university was established by Government of NCT of Delhi under provisions of Guru Gobind Singh University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. It is affiliating and teaching University. It is recognised by University Grant Commission, India under section 12B of UGC Act. It has also been accredited ” A Grade” by NAAC.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology – GTBIT has a sprawling campus and is centrally located in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The institute has five spacious buildings and state-of-art laboratories. Students of GTBIT have the best of facilities, a conducive environment for studies and a dedicated faculty to guide them and lead them to sucess.

- Electronics & Communications Engineering (120 Seats)
A wide curriculum ranging from basic Analog & Digital Electronics to EMT Theory, Communication Systems to Telecommunication Networks, Microprocessor (8085 & 8086) to Computer Architecture, Microwave Engineering to Digital Signal Processing, core VLSI design to Advanced VLSI Design, Satellite & Mobile Communication to Embedded System Design and other related subjects are being taught.
- Computer Science & Engineering (120 Seats)
The curriculum in the Computer Science & Engineering Department involves the core courses like Data Structure, Foundation of Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Networking, DBMS, Multimedia Technologies & Applications, Date Warehousing & Mining, Algorithm Design & Analysis and Distributed Operating Systems. The advanced courses like Compiler Construction, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Network Technology, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing, Network Management & Security and Embedded Systems are offered.
- Information Technology (120 Seats)
The emphasis of the information technology curriculum is on subjects like Theory of Automata, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Data Communication Networks and Interface Programming in the 2nd and 3rd year. In the final year more advanced courses are offered like E-Commerce and ERP, Artificial Intelligence, Network Management & Security, Software Engineering and Network Technology.
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (60 Seats)
This is a new department started from the academic year 2006-2007 and has acquired the latest equipment for its Labs and class rooms.
